This Global Anti-Spam Policy (“Policy”) applies to Cheetah Digital (“Cheetah”, “we”, “us“ and “our”) and to the privacy practices relating to our email and cross-channel campaign management platforms (“Services”) together with our Acceptable Use Policy. 

This Policy addresses our firm commitment to your privacy and to not providing software or services used for sending unsolicited commercial electronic messages (‘spam’).

Compliance with our Global Anti-Spam Policy

As a global permission-based marketing service provider, we endeavor to uphold the privacy, deliverability, and marketing best practice principles promoted by international associations and industry coalitions, including:  the Email Sender and Provider Coalition (ESPC); the Direct Marketing Association (DMA) and Email Experience Council; the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA); the Certified Senders Alliance (CSO) and SignalSpam

In addition to being required to abide by all applicable laws, rules, court orders, and privacy regulations, our Customers agree to never send spam of any kind using our Services.  This principle forms the foundational covenant of trust among us, all our Customers, message end-recipients, and our Internet service provider partners in the digital ecosystem.  

We consider ‘spam’ to be any electronic message that is not transactional or factual, and that is sent to a recipient without their prior consent, through an explicit action (opt-in) or as implied through a direct business relationship. This position is in line with evolving privacy laws and consumer expectations around the world, and the industry codes of conduct we support.

Customers using our services are therefore prohibited from onboarding rented or purchased email lists, appended email addresses, or to otherwise use our services in contravention of individuals’ privacy rights, applicable laws and our terms of service.  To help our Customers ensure they collect and rely upon appropriate consent(s) when using personal data for their data-driven marketing activities, we offer our email Customers confirmed opt-in and cross-channel retargeting solutions. These tools and techniques help marketers verify interest and re-engage consumers in a way that fosters trust. 

Any Customer violation of these principles is subject to Customer review, Service suspension or termination pursuant to its contractual agreement, as well as potential legal action.

  • If you believe you have received an unsolicited message from any of our Customers, please send an email (preferably with the reported email violation included or attached with the ‘full sender header’) to our Abuse Desk abuse@cheetahdigital.com

  • If you have a question about whether an email you received was a legitimate message from our Customers, please refer to the Message Recipient Guide. 

For those companies or individuals to whom Cheetah Digital is marketing its services, we certainly comply with our own anti-spam standards and policies. If you believe you received an unwanted message about our products and services, please contact us.

Notification of Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Policy at any time. If we make material changes to these statements, we will notify you on this page.
